An electric snowmobile concept with three motorized tracks
Advanced design and vehicles of the future

Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, November, 2017 - The industrial designer Martin Aubé, ADIQ, IDSA, founding president of the industrial design consulting firm "L'Unité Créative inc." and formerly an expert industrial designer, advanced concepts for Bombardier Recreational Products from 1987 to 2004, unveils his vision of an electric snowmobile concept with a modular main track system and two ski-integrated front tracks. The rear track module is detachable at the factory, at the dealership, or by a homeowner with good mechanical knowledge and makes it easier to install multiple types of track according to the desired use of the vehicle: 121-in -144 "cross-country track, high performance track with studs, and finally, mountain track up to 155" maximum,  for greater battery life time. The seat includes an intelligent suspension system that is electronically synchronised with the rear track system. Electric technology makes it easy to distribute energy to multiple engines (front right, front left and rear) to activate the tracks, as well as accessory actuators (windshield, seat, intelligent suspension). This proposal is an advanced concept that contributes to Québec's know-how in the field of winter transportation. Martin Aubé has been a lecturer at the DESS in transportation equipment design at UQAM since 2008. He works as a consultant for several vehicle manufacturing companies in Quebec, where he is mainly called upon to define industrial design, style, the ergonomics of new concepts and production vehicles. He has won several industrial design awards, both on his own and at BRP. This year, with his team at L'Unité Créative inc. Martin Aubé won the award Les Grands Prix du Design in the industrial design category/transportion, for the electric police motorcycle LITO POLICE with the owner of LITO Green Motion, Mr. Jean-Pierre Legris, ing.
